About Philoptochos:
Philoptochos is a ministry of Christian love, linking us with the great philanthropic tradition of our church, dating back to the beginning of Christianity. It is the accredited international women’s organization of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of North America, designed for Orthodox women to promote humanitarian efforts in their communities and beyond. We support Ascension Cathedral ministries, including social services, meal ministry, and outreach to shut-ins/elderly members. Our fundraising aids local charities like Operation Classroom and ministries such as Kids n Cancer, St. Basil’s Academy, St. Nicholas Ranch, Adopt a Seminarian, Hellenic College Holy Cross, IOCC, and OCMC. Join our chapter and become a part of our dynamic sisterhood!
Membership Details:
Open to all Orthodox women over 18 years of age.
Men can also become associate members.
